The Sovereignty of Eritrea must be Sacrosanct to every Eritrean.

Meles Zenawi was in a war footing with Eritrea since 1998. He was covertly a sworn enemy of Eritrean sovereignty. At the time, almost every Eritrean was on the same page when it comes to Meles and his policies towards Eritrea. Those who were working with Meles and his cronies against the national interests of Eritrea will be held to account when the right time comes. And so will anyone if they keep supporting Isayas Afeworki and his cronies at this point in time without knowing the full content of the peace agreements signed in Asmara and Riyadh.

Abiy Ahmed accepted the peace agreement and started preaching peaceful existence. However, when Ethiopian elites, contrary to Abiy’s preaching, start implying unwarranted statements of intentions, it is an indication that Ethiopia is going to make a demand on the sovereignty of Eritrea. At which point Isayas may readily accept the request for two reasons. First, it might be part of the secret agreement made with the USA. Second, perhaps Isayas has already received the payment for it.

The peace process between Eritrea and Ethiopia is now in the hands of global players and with a pseudo strong Ethiopia at the corner, compromising the sovereignty of Eritrea to save Ethiopia might have been taken as a done deal. This could be one of the reasons why the agreements of the peace process are kept secret. At the end of the day if all these manoeuvering are not hoaxes, there might be another round of hostility that will cause the break up of Ethiopia God knows into how many. The next round of hostility may also leave a lasting dent, which cannot be envisioned at moment, on Eritrea.

Please get real, start asking for explanations from the likes of Ambassador Estifanos for the statements they make and stop fooling around.
